Registration deadline: 04/13/2026 at 4:00 pm

In this hour long immersion, we’ll use self massage techniques to release held tension in the body. Myofascial release using props (blocks, blankets, and balls) is a deeply effective practice on its own and a powerful complement to yoga, strength training, and everyday movement. Through a variety of techniques, we’ll invite the soft tissues to become less restricted and support the nervous system in downshifting and restoring.

You may notice:
• more space in the body
• less tension and holding
• improved mobility
• a calmer, more settled nervous system

Spring is a natural time to cleanse, reset, and create space – both physically and mentally. This session supports that process by helping the body let go of what’s been stored and making room for more ease, mobility, and clarity.

Instructor

Sarah-Kate Moore

Sarah-Kate discovered yoga and meditation as a stressed-out undergraduate and has never stopped practicing. Having obtained her 200-hour teaching certification in 2016 in Seattle with Synergy Yoga, Sarah-Kate spent three years teaching yoga, dance, barre fitness and myofascial release in the Bay Area before returning to Seattle in 2019. She completed her 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandall in 2020, and continues to actively seek out continuing education opportunities focused on anatomy, functional movement, and creative cueing. Sarah-Kate has obtained an MFA in Poetry, MA in French, and PhD in English Literature from the University of Washington, and she has extensive teaching experience in both movement-based practices as well as in a classroom setting. Experienced in a wide variety of yoga styles, Sarah-Kate’s current focus is on vinyasa flow classes that progress through a challenging flow and end with deep restoration. Her sequencing emphasizes intentional and aligned movement to facilitate greater physical and mental freedom, and she brings her love of language and focus on individualized instruction to the mat in a dynamic, poetic practice. Sarah-Kate also loves to practice and teach restorative yoga.
