What is Kirtan?

Kirtan is an ancient form of call-and-response chanting: part meditation, part music, part shared heartbeat. Rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition, Kirtan transforms sound into a bridge between science and spirit. Each mantra vibrates through the body, activating the vagus nerve and releasing calming neurotransmitters that help synchronize heart rhythms and quiet the mind.

As voices echo and respond, something subtle shifts … your body entrains to rhythm, your breath slows, and your awareness expands. The mind’s chatter softens into stillness, and what remains is a feeling of unity – with yourself, with others, with sound itself.

What to Expect?

– Guided call and response chanting … no singing experience needed
– Live harmonium, percussion, and collective rhythm
– A safe space for release, joy, and meditative reflection
– Tea, light refreshments, grounding, and gentle community connection after the session

Come as you are – curious, tired, open, or unsure – and let sound do what words cannot.
Together, we’ll tune our hearts to The Divine Frequency … where vibration becomes meditation, and music becomes medicine.

Limited spots available. Reserve your mat for this heart opening evening of sacred sound. Pay what you can.
