Sarah-Kate discovered yoga and meditation as a stressed-out undergraduate and has never stopped practicing. Having obtained her 200-hour teaching certification in 2016 in Seattle with Synergy Yoga, Sarah-Kate spent three years teaching yoga, dance, barre fitness and myofascial release in the Bay Area before returning to Seattle in 2019. She completed her 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandall in 2020, and continues to actively seek out continuing education opportunities focused on anatomy, functional movement, and creative cueing.
Sarah-Kate has obtained an MFA in Poetry, MA in French, and PhD in English Literature from the University of Washington, and she has extensive teaching experience in both movement-based practices as well as in a classroom setting.
Experienced in a wide variety of yoga styles, Sarah-Kateβs current focus is on vinyasa flow classes that progress through a challenging flow and end with deep restoration. Her sequencing emphasizes intentional and aligned movement to facilitate greater physical and mental freedom, and she brings her love of language and focus on individualized instruction to the mat in a dynamic, poetic practice. Sarah-Kate also loves to practice and teach restorative yoga.
