Build a stronger, more confident yoga practice from the ground up.

Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this four-part series is designed to deepen your understanding of movement, breath, and alignment in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Each session focuses on a different group of foundational postures, exploring proper alignment, common modifications, and the purpose behind each pose. Along the way, we’ll introduce basic anatomy and movement principles to help you understand how your body moves and why alignment matters. Each session will also include foundational breathwork (pranayama) and meditation practices to help cultivate awareness, focus, and a deeper connection to your practice.

You’ll learn how to move with greater awareness, confidence, and ease both in class and in your own practice.

Instructor

Kamalakshi Satre

Kamalakshi is a teacher, seeker, and storyteller - born into a spiritual family in India where mantras, meditation, and chanting were part of daily life. Rooted in the teachings of Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism, her path naturally led her to the practice of Hatha Yoga, which she formally studied in Mysore, India, completing her 200-hour RYT certification. Her classes are a blend of traditional Hatha, breath, and philosophy - woven with heart and honesty. Kamalakshi holds space for students to explore the deeper layers of yoga beyond postures, welcoming them into presence, discipline, and joy. With a lifelong connection to Ayurveda through her mother, she carries its wisdom gently into her teaching. She also believes and promotes that yoga begins far beyond the mat and in real life scenarios, the mat just prepares you for them! Off the mat, Kamalakshi is a brand marketer supporting small businesses in Seattle and is building an online community where yoga is honored beyond trends - always soulful, sometimes sweaty, and always real.
