Yoga has been a transformative force in Kandace’s life ever since she first encountered it in high school. What started as a simple alternative to P.E. soon grew into a lifelong practice that has shaped her personal and professional journey. During challenging times, yoga became a sanctuary—a constant source of peace, warmth, and resilience. Over the years, despite moments of stepping away from the mat, yoga always called her back, and in doing so, it has cultivated self-confidence, courage, and a deep sense of community.
Inspired by the connection between body, mind, and breath, Kandace is dedicated to sharing these transformative benefits with others. Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is not only a physical practice, but also a journey of self-love, authenticity, and empowerment. In each class, Kandace strives to create a space where students feel seen, supported, and challenged—not just to move through poses, but to embrace growth, both on and off the mat.
In 2022, Kandace completed her 200-hour Rasa Yoga Teacher Training with Greta Hill, a program designed by Sianna Sherman that emphasizes yoga philosophy, mantras, mudras, and pranayama—what she fondly refers to as “the alchemy of yoga.” This foundation was further refined through a 50-hour teacher mentorship with Greta Hill and Chelsea Murphy at Pranify Yoga, where she focused on enhancing cueing, alignment, theming, and adjustments. In 2024, she assisted in an adjustment workshop for fellow teachers and continued her education as a teacher assistant in the 200-hour Rasa Yoga Teacher Training.
Kandace is committed to continual growth in her practice and teaching. In early 2025, she will further deepen her expertise with advanced training in both Pranayama and Yin Yoga. Her goal is to bring a greater depth of knowledge to her students, fostering spaces where they feel empowered to embrace growth, cultivate mindfulness, and discover the transformative benefits of yoga in their own lives.
Her ultimate intention (sankalpa) is to be of service to others—showing up with authenticity, courage, and a deep commitment to creating spaces for self-discovery and connection.
Outside of teaching, Kandace embraces vitality in many forms—exploring new flavors, traveling to new places, and cherishing quiet moments with her beloved fur babies. With each experience, she continues to deepen her connection to the world around her, bringing that energy and mindfulness to her practice and teachings.
