Abstract Yoga and Art with Elizabeth, July 18, 7:30-9:00pm

It’s in the Process. As we become more connected to our yoga practice, we learn it’s the process that’s important, not necessarily the end result. Abstract art can be another place to explore the creative process by not attaching to an expected outcome.

In this workshop, we will start with a meditation to clear our minds and create a meaningful color palette before moving into a session of intuitive painting using both wet-on-wet and dry brush watercolor techniques.

Moving back to our paintings in between vinyasa yoga and restorative yoga sets, we will add on more layers of paint and intrigue, allowing space to step away while the paint works its magic. As the practice progresses we will also move into more complex postures, arm inversions and balancing, finding joy in the process of trying something new and building on the foundation from earlier in class. To end, we will add in some final elements to our paintings and break open the wine while sharing what we’ve created with the community.
